Madeira Picnic Moments ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have. Full company details are listed in our Legal Notice.

1. What data we collect

• Booking form: name, email address, phone number, preferred date, number of guests, occasion, selected package and extras
• Contact form: name, email address, phone number, subject and message
• Payment data: processed directly by Stripe and/or PayPal; we never see or store your full card details

2. Why we process your data

• To prepare and confirm your picnic booking (performance of a contract)
• To answer questions you send us through the contact form (legitimate interest)
• To process deposit and balance payments (performance of a contract)
• Where you have given explicit consent (e.g. by ticking the checkbox on our forms)

3. Who we share it with

We share the minimum data necessary with: our email service provider (to send booking confirmations), and Stripe and/or PayPal (to process payments). We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

4. International transfers

Stripe and PayPal may process data outside the European Economic Area. Both providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission to safeguard your data.

5. How long we keep your data

Booking and payment records are kept for as long as required by Portuguese tax and accounting law (currently up to 10 years). Contact messages that do not lead to a booking are deleted once your enquiry has been resolved, unless a longer retention period is legally required.

6. Cookies

Our website only uses a technical session cookie required for secure form submission (CSRF protection) and the admin login area. We do not use any advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies at this time.

7. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), Portugal's data protection authority.
